These five Scripture passages are often misquoted and misused in Churches and Christian Culture.
Which Scripture passages have you heard used to teach incorrectly about a Biblical understanding of money?
"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs." —1 Timothy 6:10 (ESV)
"Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God." —Matthew 19:24 (ESV)
"A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the sinner's wealth is laid up for the righteous." —Proverbs 13:22 (ESV)
"Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need." —Malachi 3:10 (ESV)
"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." —Philippians 4:19 (ESV)
