So revealing… we … who follow Jesus are his messengers… when I am out in the world in a welcoming way… with a welcoming spirit… others welcome me … not all I encounter and that’s not my role to insure they do..

The messenger carries the message. Without the messenger there would be no message. If there is no message to carry the messenger is not needed. If that is true then it is both the message and the messenger. To take this verse alone some things addressed are left ouit. He knows he is getting ready to leave physically and now will be the time for the Holy Spirit ot make an entrance. They have to be ready to recieve God in a way that is new to them. When God reveals do wse always welcome what he reveals to us. Many times our own self belief gets in the way and though we say we will recieve the messenger are we ready to receive it when it may come to us differently. That is what I see here. What do you think?
